REASON WHY
GROWING ORGANIC
Organic agriculture is a positive area of economic growth and collective organizing for a variety of reasons related to: environmental protection, food quality, food security, climated change and social justice.
Organic agriculture enhances soil structures, conserves water, mitigates climate change andensures sustained biodiversity. Through its holistic nature, organic farming integrates wild biodiversity agro-biodiversity and soil conservation and takes low-intensity farming one step further by eliminating the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and genetically modified organisms (the most famous GMOs), which is not only an improvement for human health (food quality), and agrobiodiversity, but also for the associated off farm biotic communities.
Good nutrition is vital for maintaining health and preventing disease. Because organic foods are high in nutritional quality and quantity, they play an important role in promoting human health.
Food security is one of the major issues of our times. Access to quality food is a basic human right and a matter of both community and national security. Enough food is being produced to feed everyone in the world, yet more than 850 million people remain without even one adequate meal a day. (IFOAM 2006)
Organic Agriculture reduces greenhouse gases, especially nitrous oxide, as no chemical nitrogen fertilizers are used and nutrient losses are minimized. It stores carbon in soil and plant biomass by building organic matter and forbidding the clearance of primary ecosystems. It minimizes energy consumption by 30-70% per unit by eliminating the energy required to manufacture synthetic fertilizers.
SOCIAL RESPONSABILTY
The first Social Responsibility act is to treat employees as human resources and not just workers. This is one of the most simple but challenging things, that becomes very difficult in a place where ordinary things are exceptions. Bio Farm Crucea Srl and its management have been investing time, energy and efforts in developing a real “working culture”, and supports any employee in trying to accomplish his/her professional and human goals. Bio Farm Crucea encourages and develops ideas that helps to improve individual skills, professional knowledge and team spirit.
Bio Farm Crucea’s management, staff and shareholders have recently introduced a form of corporate self-regulation program integrated into its standard internal business rules.
CONTRIBUTION PROGRAM
Despite its touristic potential attractives and interesting spots (Capidava Fortress, Ortodox Church, Danube River, Natural Reserve Dealul Alah Bahir, Chelei Dobrogei and Caniounul de argila just to mention few), this beautiful part of Romania rests completely cut out from all touristic trails and commercial developments.
Bio Farm Crucea would like to develop a project called “2021-2026” that will put its village and the sourrounding areas on the touristic map again. A project for the local community and its future generations to come. If you want to support, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We thank you for your devotion to this project and we also pledge our continued commitment.
Many Thanks – Va multumesc
